The National Council for Voluntary Organisations:
NCVO (The National Council for Voluntary Organisations) is the largest umbrella body for the voluntary and community sector in England, representing the views of its members to government, the European Union and other bodies and positioning themselves at the leading edge of research into, and analysis of, the voluntary sector.
With over 7,000 members, employing over 280, 000 staff and over 13 million volunteers, NCVO represents and supports almost half the voluntary sector workforce, as well as being a registered charity themselves.
Whitebox offered a low risk way for organisations to develop sustainable income through everyday internet search activity without costing the organisation, or its supporters, a penny. At first the NCVO were understandably a little cynical but decided to investigate further.
Convinced by the great results being achieved by Whitebox NCVO set up their own Whitebox search box on their intranet and decided to partner with Whitebox as one of their recommended suppliers, making Whitebox's offering known to their members by listing them on their website and in their tri-annual publication - Essential Resource for the Voluntary Sector.
Chris Taylor Business Development Manager of NCVO said "In the voluntary and community sector raising funds is a fundamental part of all organisations existence, enabling them to continue with their vital work. We are always looking at new ways in which organisations can be more efficient and effective and when we were approached with Whitebox's offering it seemed too good to be true. Now we couldn't recommend them more highly. It's a fantastic, easy and, most importantly, no cost way of generating additional income. It's also a great way of raising awareness of your organisation among your beneficiaries, supporters and corporate supporters as well as reaching new audiences."
