Scottish Council for Voluntary Organsiastions:
The SCVO (The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations) is the umbrella body for the voluntary and community sector in Scotland.
Representing over 45, 000 organisations, which involve around 130,000 paid staff, 1.3 million volunteers and an income of approximately £4.1 billion, the SCVO aim to develop and promote the values and shared interests of the voluntary sector.
Gordon Nelson, Business Development Manager of SCVO said:
"When we were approached by Whitebox we had already been informed of their offering by our Welsh sister company, the WCVA, so we knew it was something worth looking into. As with all voluntary organisations fund raising is a crucial part of our business and if there's a way in which we can add to this, free of charge, we'd be silly not to explore it. We've had our search box on our site and intranet for just over a year and are already benefiting from the additional income it generates, so we're more than keen to pass this opportunity on to all of our members as an easy, effective way to generate extra funds."
Since promoting Whitebox over this last year to their members the SCVO has signed up over 200 organisations, all of which are now benefiting from the additional income stream their search boxes provide. Gordon said: "We are now looking to develop other ways in which we can promote this fantastic offering and our partnership with Whitebox in order to get even more of our members reaping the rewards it brings."
Army Benevolent Fund
Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) is the Soldier's Charity, providing financial and practical support to soldiers, former soldiers and their families in times of need. With ongoing conflicts requests for help are on the rise but in order to continue their vital work more funds are needed. National Council for Voluntary Organisations
The NCVO (The National Council for Voluntary Organisations) is the largest umbrella body for the voluntary and community sector in England.
